Designed by North Westy and produced locally, this starter adapter allows you to run modern, high-torque Bosch diesel starters on Vanagon manual transmissions while keeping everything where VW intended it to live.

🧩 WHAT THIS ADAPTER DOES

This adapter allows the use of the following starters (not included in listing):
🔹 Bosch SR0408X – 2.0kW Diesel Starter (high power)
🔹 Bosch SR0425X – lower power, improved fitment option

The SR0425X is especially useful for locker-equipped vans, where the locker vacuum actuator can interfere with larger starters.

✅ VW Air-Cooled Vanagon transmission bellhousing
✅ Manual transmission only

❌ NOT compatible with factory Vanagon diesel bellhousings
❌ Not for automatic transmissions
